TIA FRAIZER
Tia developed her love for the outdoors at a young age. Being raised in the Midwest on a small hobby farm, with a hunting and fishing family, endless acres to roam, and four wheelers to go explore- she has always had a passion for adventure.
At the age of 24, and as a single mother to a little girl, she ventured off to Colorado with only what could fit in her car. Knowing no one, she was forced to explore. She fell in love with the mountains and the healing they provided. Spending countless days with her daughter on her back, she became an avid hiker, back country camper, and fell in love with the outdoors all over again.
Fast forward to today, Tia had the opportunity to join Her Wilderness as the Colorado Coordinator. This group supports women from beginner to advanced experience levels- by creating an environment for all to have the opportunity and gain skills and knowledge in hunting, fishing, and adventure! Having a daughter it was important to include her in this passion and community. As she found herself growing & inspired with Her Wilderness- she planned her first Mommy & Me trip which turned into a whole new plan!
" I hope to create the community that myself and my daughter didn't have. Being a woman with children can make hunting, fishing, and getting outdoors alone very tricky and unsettling. I hope to help in building skills, knowledge, and education for all to experience this lifestyle while feeling confident doing so. It truly takes a village. I was lucky enough to find mine, and I hope you can as well!"
