We are heading to West Texas for the hunt you’ve all been waiting for! An epic sandhill crane hunt with our friends over at Tejas Waterfowl. You might also know them as Northern Skies Outfitters while they are chasing snow geese in Arkansas or Canada!

Crane hunting is one of the fastest growing species in the waterfowl world to hunt and for good reason...they decoy like a dream! The Texas Panhandle winters thousands of cranes that give you plenty of action. If you are like us and watching birds come right into the spread gives you all the feels then this trip is for you!

The cost of this trip will be $940 which will include 3 total days, 2 nights of lodging at the Tejas Lodge, all meals and 2 days of guided hunting! Plan to arrive the evening of Friday November 12th to home cooked meal at the lodge, hunt the morning of the 13th and 14th and head home sometime in the afternoon on Sunday!

The guides are happy to clean your birds or they will show each of you in detail how to clean them yourselves. Sandhill Crane meat is called Ribeye of the sky, it is delicious so be sure to bring a cooler to pack your meat home with you!

THINGS TO PACK:

Shotgun & Shells

We recommend 12 or 20-gauge shotguns with 2 - BB for shotgun shell size.

Either choke is fine. Some prefer custom chokes and that's great too.

License, Waterfowl Stamp, Crane Permit, and HIP Certification necessary.

Warm Boots. Gloves, & Clothing

The key is to be prepared for any kind of weather that mother nature can throw at us during the season.

Cooler

We recommend a cooler to take home your wild game.

Gun Cleaning Supplies

It's never a bad idea to have your gun cleaning kit with.
