TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION 

Have you ever been interested in beekeeping? By learning about bees, kids can start to understand that they are more than just buzzing, and stinging insects. Join Little Wilderness as we learn some facts about honey bees. We will be visiting a real beekeeper and her hives of busy bees!

You will meet with your Little Wilderness coordinator at a local town hall where we will start with a fun activity of decorating our own take home bee house, an educational session, followed by creating a honeybee themed snack. Later as a group, we will head out to visit a local honeybee keeper, where she will show us exactly how she cares for her bee hives. 

Please dress appropriately for the weather, as we will be spending the field trip portion of our time outdoors. 

What is included: Take home bee house, snack/drink, and craft. All of the youth participants will also get to go home with a sample of honey to enjoy!
