PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED HUNTERS SAFETY
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR MOTHER OR FEMALE LEGAL GUARDIAN. YOUTH PARTICIPANTS WILL BE THE ONLY ONES TO HUNT.
PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN HUNTING GEAR, INCLUDING APPROPRIATE CLOTHING, FIREARMS AND ANY PERSONAL ITEMS.

TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are headed to Streeter, North Dakota for our first Little Wilderness waterfowl hunt. Get ready to immerse your young outdoor enthusiasts in a 2-day youth waterfowl hunt, designed to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of hunters. Led by passionate experts, this immersive experience offers hands-on learning opportunities in bird identification, calling techniques, game cleaning, decoy setting, trap shooting, and hunting.
Please plan to arrive by 2:00 pm on Friday. After arrival on Friday we will cover the following topics:
Bird Identification: Participants will learn about various waterfowl species, their habitats, and distinctive characteristics, enhancing their understanding of the natural world.
Calling Techniques: Seasoned instructors will teach the art of duck and goose calling, providing hands-on training to mimic the calls of different waterfowl, a skill essential for successful hunts.
Decoy Setting: Participants will learn the intricate art of decoy setting, understanding decoy placement strategies and creating realistic waterfowl spreads. .
Trap Shooting: Safety first! Under expert supervision, youth will receive instruction in trap shooting techniques, focusing on proper stance, aiming, and firearm handling to enhance marksmanship skills.
Saturday and Sunday participants will get the opportunity to apply their newly learned skills and knowledge to work with 1.5 days of waterfowl hunting. Participants will be getting their hands dirty from setting the spread to helping call in the birds. Following the hunt there will be a bird cleaning demonstration and hands on practice, ensuring participants are equipped to ethically and efficiently process harvested waterfowl. Plan to depart Sunday by 11:00 am after a full morning of hunting.
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
Our lodge is a charming 3-bedroom rental house in the heart of Streeter, ND. We will have three generously sized bedrooms featuring multiple bunk beds. We will have a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals and comfortable living quarters that provide the perfect setting to relax, share stories, and plan your adventures.
We will also have a dedicated bird cleaning station that ensures a seamless post-hunt experience, making this rental a haven for both comfort and practicality.
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN
The kids will be targeting different species of ducks and geese. Duck possession limit is 18, three times your daily bag limit. Canada Goose daily limit is 8 with a possession limit of 24, three times your daily bag limit. We will have our afternoons free to hangout in the lodge, explore rural North Dakota, or scout!
We will be cleaning birds and bringing them home. You may bring a bird home to be mounted if wanted. If you are flying, we will need to freeze the meat and carry it on or store it in checked luggage. Or, you can ship it home. I recommend bringing extra trash bags to store meat in and fly it in your carry on.
